Kristen Howey is a senior account executive working on-site at the Southern Nevada Water Authority. Since 1998 she’s coordinated the comprehensive public affairs program for SNWA’s Capital Improvements Program, a multi-billion dollar public works project involving the upgrade and expansion of the Las Vegas Valley water treatment and delivery system. Kristen’s responsibilities include alerting the community about upcoming construction, working closely with the contractor and project team to minimize impacts, troubleshooting problems, providing construction safety information to vulnerable audiences, and immediately and permanently resolving conflict due to construction.

Kristen’s experience also includes special event management, graphic design, publication production, media relations and Web site development.

In addition to her work with the SNWA on-site office, Kristen worked in strategic marketing for Montgomery Watson Harza and the United Way.

Kristen is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.
