Michelle Segal is a project manager for Katz & Associates’ support to the U.S. Navy’s Tactical Training Theater Assessment and Planning program.  In this role, she develops community outreach strategies and plans for Navy facilities and ranges in the West to ensure their continued availability for training, research and testing.  She also contributes to risk communication and community relations for Navy facilities undergoing remediation of hazardous and radioactive contamination.

Michelle joined Katz & Associates from San Diego Gas & Electric, where she worked in the environmental solutions department.  Prior to her work at SDG&E, she worked at Intel Corporation for over two years doing worldwide marketing programs and events.  For four years Michelle worked at 3Com Corporation where she was responsible for launching the company’s Asian language Web sites.

She has extensive international experience and speaks French and Mandarin Chinese.

Michelle is a current Board member for U.C. Berkeley’s Young Alumni Council.  In June 2004, she will complete her Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in environmental management, from U.C. Irvine.  She also has graduate level coursework from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, UCSB’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and UCSD’s International Relations and Pacific Studies. She is an alumna from U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.
