Patricia Tennyson is the senior vice-president/director of client relations for Katz & Associates, a full-service communication firm based in San Diego, Calif., with offices in Las Vegas and Sacramento. Patricia oversees community and government relations, communication and public affairs strategies for some of the firm's largest clients.

Prior to joining Katz & Associates, Patricia served as the public affairs director of the San Diego County Water Authority. In this capacity, she served as a link between the Authority and its 24 member agencies, other governmental entities, the media and the community, and managed the Authority's media activities, advertising, publications and school education program.

Patricia previously served as chief of staff to San Diego City Councilmember Tom Behr after a tenure as vice president of the Greater San Diego Chamber of Commerce's Local Government Division. Other experience includes a decade of work in a number of City of San Diego departments, including Intergovernmental Relations, which she directed from 1987 to 1989. In 1989 and 1990, she coordinated city activities connected to development of the San Dieguito River Valley Regional Open Space Park.

Patricia is a frequent conference speaker and published writer. She earned a master's degree in public administration from San Diego State University, a master's degree in library science from Texas Women's University and a bachelor's degree in social sciences from Southern Methodist University.
