Rebecca Cole is a director specializing in the development and implementation of award winning public information programs for local government agencies.
Rebecca oversees strategic planning and management of public outreach and construction relations for several San Diego-based clients. She currently is the project supervisor for the San Diego County Water Authority's $813 million Emergency Storage Project and the City of San Diego's $773 million Capital Improvements Program. Experienced in construction relations, Rebecca also manages community and media relations for large pipeline construction projects for the cities of Escondido, Carlsbad and San Diego. She also has managed public participation programs aimed at meeting and exceeding NEPA and CEQA requirements. A veteran special event planner, Rebecca has designed some of the firm's largest special events, including groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings for the San Diego County Water Authority, Port of San Diego, City of San Diego Water Department and City of Carlsbad. She has also produced award winning brochures, newsletters and videos for the Port of San Diego and the San Diego County Water Authority. Before joining Katz & Associates eight years ago, Rebecca worked for a San Diego-based full service public relations and advertising agency managing media relations and special event management for the firm's real estate and non-profit clients. Rebecca graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. |
