Kristina Ray is a communication professional with more than a decade of experience designing and implementing award-winning outreach programs at the local, state and national level. She currently oversees statewide and regional programs for the California Department of Consumer Affairs Contractors State License Board, Port of San Diego and the Honolulu Board of Water Supply.

A seasoned writer, Kristina develops communication plans, messages, articles and brochures for clients. She also advises clients on media and community relations strategies.

Specializing in media relations, Kristina worked for two former White House press secretaries prior to joining Katz & Associates. While in Washington, D.C., Kristina developed and implemented public affairs campaigns targeting state and local agencies as well as Congress, the White House and other federal entities. Her career started 13 years ago in San Diego, where she worked for two well-known local public relations firms handling public relations for clients in the health care, tourism and financial services industries.

Kristina has a Master of Arts degree in communication from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of San Diego.
